First let me address the many reviews I have looked at regarding Boat Repair. It seems people love them or hate them. They do not always do well on the customer face part of the business. They always seem to have attitude. Well, put me in the love this shop group. Lenny is direct and efficient. From drop off to pick up I could not have been happier with the quality of work from this shop. This was my first time here being referred from a friend. I drove 1.5 hours to get the work done here. There are shops closer, but I have had bad experiences in past from these up near lake Oroville. Jerry and crew were outside when I pulled up with my 30 ft tracker pontoon boat. They had me disconnected and parked, and paperwork done in less than 5 minutes. 4 days later I get a call they have finished working on boat. I had another shop in Oroville try to fix a carburetor problem. They screwed it up worse. I took to Bucks to get it fixed. They cleaned carbs, adjusted timing and had it running better than when I first got it. Thanks Lenny, Jerry and team. Please pass this on to all who worked on my boat! Great job! This will be the only place I take my boats. Cliff.

Bottom line, they are top notch, use them. These guys run a fantastic business, it was so easy to schedule, they had me drop off one Saturday and pick up the next, they keep your boat in a well secured compound, they did an impeccable job servicing ht boat and trailer; they greased every single spring necessary, their rates are fantastic, I saved over $250 going with Buck's service instead Gone Fish'in Marine in Dixon; and the work Buck's could not have been better!. I hope Buck's keeps getting a lot of customers because lord knows they deserve the business based on the great value of their rates and the high quality of their work.

I can't speak to buying a boat or getting your boat serviced, but their parts selection is great! I've got a 15 year old Yamaha outboard and they had everything I needed in stock for a recent water pump replacement. Prices are reasonable as well. This place has been here for multiple decades - that says something about a business.

I've taken my boat to Bucks for almost fifteen years. Jerry's family always does good work. When I first got the boat, Jerry helped me out with some material for the shell. These guys are busy, so make an appt and be patient when they get it. They'll get it to you as soon as possible and do quality work.

I am completely blown away by some of these negative reviews! I have always had a positive experience here. Really good HONEST people. They have always gone the extra mile to work with me at a reasonable cost. Tye even fixed my trailer wiring for me at no cost, just because he noticed some lights were out. Jerry and Lenny have done soooo much for me. I'm not just talking service, they have let me borrow/test props, gave my niece a life jacket, they sponsor my nephew's youth BASS club... I've been going here for 4 years now for service on my 91 Yamaha 150 and Ranger 363V and I won't go anywhere else! They are just good people in every way. Yes, they get busy so if they can't stay on the phone with you talking out your motor problems or if your boat ends up taking a few days longer than expected... I just don't see that as a huge deal. They get busy - it means they're a good shop. These are the most straight forward mechanics that I have met and I've gone to 3 other shops before them. They're not running a restaurant; I think you need to stop being so sensitive. Obviously you should get a quote before approving the work, just as you would do for your car or anything else!?.

Love the service. I don't trust anyone else to work on my boat. My family has been coming here for years. Uncles, Grandparents, Parents and me. I don't even know of any other boat service spots in sac. But they do good work here. Just make sure you call and reserve a appointment before the spring rush.

I'm giving Buck's 5 stars because yesterday I walked in and told the fellow at the desk I needed a fuel line for my 15hp Johnson. He handed me one and wished me Merry Christmas in March.I had never been there before. After reading the other reviews I hesitate to lay 5 stars on them. But that's what I got. I believe the others got ripped. But everyone should ask for an estimate. no matter who they're dealing with.

Bucks has been maintaining my Yamaha outboard for about 7 years now. They have always been knowledgeable, reliable and reasonably priced. Great service and work all around. Highly recommended!.

Two boats ago, I had an engine that three other shops could not fix (one of those didn't charge me because they said that there was nothing wrong with it!) The techs at Buck's actually listened to me when I described the problem, took the time to put the engine through a simulation, traced the wiring in the engine and found the intermittent short. That motor never failed to start after Buck's took care of it, and two boats later, I won't trust my boat to anyone else. The work is done promptly, correctly and always at a reasonable price. These are great people to do business with. I cannot recommend these folks highly enough.
